Chou rouge Turkey Hill
Ingredients :
- 1 medium-sized red cabbage
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- 2 large cooking apples
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
Preparation :
Wash and slice the cabbage into thin rounds. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and vinegar and mix well. Pour into a well-buttered ovenproof dish. Bake over moderate heat (350°F) for about 45 minutes. Peel, core, and slice the apples and maple syrup with the cabbage and bake for another 30 minutes. Serve the same dish.
